Some years ago a late elderly friend of mine was out walking his Jack Russell dog in Lees Hall Wood, he noticed that the dog was digging in the undergrowth and so my friend went to investigate. Somewhat inquisitive my friend continued the dig and found this old pewter tankard. Who said dogs only sniff out truffle's or old bones. Good Dog Fido :)
