RichardB
What shall we do with the Ball 28 Townhead Street.? It has all the same names as the Golden Ball 10 Townhead Street & Campo Lane. I've not come across a number 28 on my data. I think they are one of the same. I've just spotted it because I've just posted these to the A to Z. The Golden Ball 10 Townhead Street & Campo Lane. 1876 , 79, Thomas Shaw 1887, 89, Henry Blanchard 1893 Thomas Hawksley PS Also it has 1881 Thomas Shaw and the address as 6 Townhead Street which it was before changing to 10. Please post (here) your definitive listing for the Pubs combined, I'm over busy withChristmas Pub listing (I suspect Stuart will be busy too) - we can work around big, important updates but all other changes are locked out until the New Year. Merry Christmas !
ukelele lady
The George 19 Market Place And the George 70 Market Place seem one of the same , they have all the same keepers but an address change about 1839. Unless it was rebuilt then. But all to be done after our festivities, ho ho ho.

I've had such a good day I may be back chasing your updates by the weekend - they won't show up on my work until after Christmas you are right, but I'm only five days behind your updates and hopefully to be catching you up fast. ukelele lady
Hi pwallis, I know it can be frustrating when the very years you are looking for are not there. The last time I searched at the library those years were not available but someone somewhere will have them I'm sure. Just keep checking the post, something will turn up. Thanks I've read UKL's reply and sent you a PM - if you are willing and able to supply copies of the documents you have then, as far as I can see they are Prime resources (BMD, Census) and therefore more valid than Directory entries (which as UKL says don't exist/are not available). NNo reason they can't be added with appropriate proof. Thank you.
Guest Unitedite
. ----------------------------------------- Additional : 9th October 1809 At Sheffield, far advanced in age, Mrs Peech, relict of Mr Samuel P. of the Angel inn there, whom she survived only a few weeks. First attachment : Public Advertiser (London) Thursday April 17th 1760 Second attachment : General Evening Post, London Thursday July 9th 1761 I also came across the attached, which I had filed with the line drawing of the Tontine Inn, so I thought that you might like to see this also. Both of these line drawings are quite obviously part of a series prepared, possibly by the Shefield and Independant. Is this possibly, an as yet unidentified source perhaps? Still not found what I was originally looking for though. Kind regards; U
