Guest Cazzie
Hi, I am currently researching my family tree. My Great Grandfather, William Jackson, born 1868 married Julia Randall born in Retford or Worksop around 1870 and was sent to live with an aunt at Hillsborough when her mother died. I am trying to find out any information on Julia. From what my mother told me she was a formidable woman who had been a lady's maid, but this is the only information I have. William and Julia had 6 surviving children. Emily Ada Lily Edith Earnest and Joseph as far as I know. There may have been another girl but I am not sure I would be greatful for any information Cazzie.

William born 1868, Sheffield Julia born 1870 Retford, Nottinghamshire they had a son William Ferdinando born 1896, died Jul-Sep 1897 Thank you so much I never knew Julia was Mary Julia A (wonder what the A stands for) I should be able to find some records of her now. William Ferdinando Hmmmmm a firery man with flaming red hair. He must have been very disapointed when his namesake died in infancy. He was so determind that the Ferdinando name be carried on and despairing of getting another son, he named my grandmother Lily Ferdinando.:D he was so drunk when he went to register her birth that he forgot to add the Jackson bit. Grandma was mortified when she was old enough to notice and she added the Jackson to her birth certificate in biro later the photo is lily about 19 years old
