My opologies to Skeets, after talking to my mom (she's in her nineties) groceries were sold in the Albany untill just after the war,and she remembers your grandad. She never fails to amaze me with her knowledge.

Once again sorry, will think twice in future.

Hi,

We (collectively) know the following Pubs existed, we even have an opening year for some of them. However, all of these have one thing in common, we, currently have no information regarding a Landlord/Landlady or "Keeper" of any kind; without names to associate they are just buildings that were around in year "WXYZ".

Any information relating to these Pubs from any source, Trade Directory, Alphabetical listings, Year Books, Rates, Census gratefully received.

It's not all gloom and doom, the 312 Pubs on this list are falling; I'm just abount to complete a 1901 listing and then it's on to an 1881 listing, further keepers will come to light; the 312 represent 16% of the total list.

As before, I've split then down alphabetically

This one is "dead" www.swineherd.free-online.co.uk

Found this old message whilst reviewing this thread.

Quick tip... when a website goes dead, sometimes, but not always, it is possible to still look at some or all of it at archive.org using their 'wayback machine'

In this case http://web.archive.org/web/*/www.swineherd.free-online.co.uk gives a chance to see what the swineheard pages looked like between 2000 and 2004. Not all photos work on each link but by looking through the various different dates you should be able to find copies of most photos.
