Bassets Deliveries

Bassetts founded 1842, see Cadbury's Schweppes so anything after that. Does it have a phone number on the bottom of the trailer? Looks about 1900 to me. Anyone else got a clue.

Very interesting site. Didnt realise Dr Pepper and jelly babies were that old.

Geo Bassets, 1927.

54 Portland Street. Telephone Sheffield 22344

Garage only, Burton Street. Telephone Owlerton 43440.

1928 and 1932 - exactly the same.

1936 same as above plus Beulah Road, Owlerton 43031

Maybe we should just ring 'em ? lol

In the early 50`s my mates Mum worked at bassett`s and he would give us liquorice all sorts and something called pontyfrat cakes.
