Sportsman Inn Denby Street was New Thomas Street, Joseph Street

Cricketers Arms Corner of Shelden Street and Arley Street was Cross George Street Frederick Bradbury

Reuben's Head, I have my g.grandparents Herbert & Charlotte Gripton as publican in 1900 but address as 45 Campo Lane

I'll look into your details, this was a very specific posting, relating to 1871 only, the dates listed show presumed opeing and closing dates. Very possible your relatives were keepers, just not in 1871.

In my Family Tree, I have a John Taylor born in Leicester in 1837, living at 35 Ellis Street in 1871, as a Publican and in 1881 at 'Gardener's Rest' 17 Dun Street, Nether Hallam, Sheffield. Did Ellis Street have a 'Gardener's Rest' as well, or is it the same pub?
