RichardB
Is it true there was a big hole underneath that building, mid eighties maybe ? No reference to divorces and stuff, seem to remember newspaper reports about subsidence at the time, and the building being closed for some time ? Guest coffee cup
they actually do the marriages etc in the town hall much nicer How things have changed, you can get married almost anywhere now read an article in a mag whilst at the dentist about a couple getting married in a hot air balloon. !!! Think people try to come up with strange places, to get themselves featured in the press or magazines, or even sometimes the local news. nice to be different, but sad to do it just for publicity. eldomsmith
In the grounds, there was the top of an old well as seen here from Picture Sheffield. Does anyone know if this has been covered? I don't recall seeing it since the re-development
tozzin
The “Wedding Cake” I thought was a horrible building, this is the Registrar Office that was demolished in the name of progress, I know which one I prefer.
