Guest TexxUK
Handsworth Infant School 1959 - 1961. Headmistress Miss Meredith. Lovely lady! Now demolished (the school, not Miss Meredith). Athelstan Juniors 1961 - 1965. Headmaster Mr. Turner. Nice bloke. The school is still there, I think. Hinde House Comprehensive 1965 - 1969. Headmaster Mr. Edwards. There's plenty of info on him on Sheffield Forum. Hinde House has been demolished and rebuilt since my time.

POPPYCHRISTINA
Went to St Maries on the corner of Edmund Rd ( I think thats where it was), Its been demolished these many years now though. I wonder if any one else remembers it. The headmistress was a nun, Sister Mary Dennis, and there were several other nuns who taught there as well. I wonder if anyone has any pictures (crosses fingers). Well I can always hope!! Hi Carlie167. I went to St Maries from 51 to 54.Then on to St Catherines Pitsmoor. After that ,to De La Salle on Scott Rd.Was going to be a priest but all of a sudden found the better things in life, beer and girls. Guest dex
I went to De La Salle Scott Road, left in 1972. I believe its a housing estate now. Anyway our football pitch overlooked the cemetry and whenever the ball was kicked over the wall I always volunteered to fetch it cos I could run and jump back to the top of the wall. Guest Gasman
What school did you go to ? What year did you leave ? What changes have there been to your school since you left ? Hi to all, I went to St Charles in Attercliffe then up to De La Salle on Scott Rd in 1953 leaving in 58. Mixed memories of the place-,some good, some awful-couldn`t wait to leave. Now demolished and a housing estate I believe. "Keep on Rockin`"
