madannie77
Just when you thought I had forgot, where is this Infirmary Road, looking towards the city, at the junction with Montgomery Terrace Road (Map 29) Nice place for a then and now, with a Supertam in shot. madannie77
This one should be easy! My thought is City Road, somewhere between Duke Street and Granville Road. Can't really be more specific than that (and probably wrong, anyway)

Is it Main Road, Darnall, looking in the Handsworth direction.

madannie77
Looks like it Should have checked with Google Street View before posting the City Road suggestion. It was obvious as soon as I looked that it wasn't City Road.
SteveHB
I think the road on the right in the tram photo is Unwin Street, but can't be certain O/S maps 144 &
SteveHB
Here's one looking across the bottom Prince Of Wales Rd and up Main Road. Cut from O/S map #

If not, I think it must be Langley Street.

No sooner suggested than - (Mobile phone again - sorry) How sad am I?- I waited for 4 different trams hoping to catch someone walking across the road at the same time. I nearly asked someone to do it for me.

vox
Its that white van again Looks like you were spot on eith the position of the tram Yes, I noticed a while ago that it seems to be in most of my photos. Proves I don't like walking very far. It's now become my "watermark" From now on I'm going to try to get it in all my pictures. B)

vox
Go white van man go , it will be raining a bit tomorrow though I'm already planning the sortie. I'll take a proper camera this time. Raining? - Ready-made WaterMark then. I might have to be on double yellows to get my real watermark in the frame though. B)

vox
Did the white van ever make it to the location of this photo? The now photo I posted was not quite at the right angle. I've got it printed and in the glove-box madannie. It's not a place I go very often but I'm sure I'll be near there at some point. Looking at the weather today, I think any photos which are taken would be better posted in the "MISTY Location" bit. lol
vox
Best I could manage. There was a lot more traffic than I expected on a Sunday morning. Any further back put the top of a concrete bollard in the shot. Any further right put me in the road. Tried to wait for a tram but it started pi-- la--. Raining heavily.
