I seem to recall there was a mural there which was a plan of the building which had the separate changing rooms in different colours.

Oh not heard of that before. Can't remember seeing it - would be interested in seeing it for sure

think rolf opened the baths

I was a guest at the official opening and watched Rolf do the painting. He kept standing back to inspect his work and of course inevitably went too far and fell in the pool. You could see it coming but it was fun. I was there as part of the Sheffield BSAC team planning to break the World Underwater Endurance Record  by spending 40hrs underwater in the diving pool. We did break the record but not for long
