I worked just across the road from it and witnessed it as both a Sheffield Icon and the most popular meeting place to a demolition site, what a crime. Why they couldn’t have preserved it’s facade god only knows, the abortion that replaced it poses the question “why does anything require planning permission in Sheffield?”
