Guest tsavo
A couple of daft names I remember being referred to by parents are, "John Willy Hatband" and "Poodles Malone the Mighty Atom." Don't know where they originated from, but I'm sure my family were not alone with these daft names. Any offers?

sando
I remember my dad using the name "John Willy Hatband" his family were also from Crookes, so maybe it was a localised name, but he has no idea as to the derivation of the word. There was also the name "Sunny Jim" which was often used. Mark
