Great British Journies

Nicholas Crane follows in the footsteps of writer Daniel Defoe who travelled from London to the marshes of Essex, before heading along the Suffolk coast.

Spell-binding, I hardly broke wind throughout the entire programme, heads up, if this is a series, he's going to visit Sheffield.

He traces places/events from long ago, then goes to find where/what they are now.

Kind of like Sheffield History without all the emoticons.

Someone please remind me next Thursday, someone with the means to record, please record it - he's going to be heading North through Lincolnshire (if it is a series), then through Yorkshire.

Personally, I'd pay the license fee for 12 issues of this programme alone.

i think Nick Crane is one of the most watchable and intersting blokes on the TV at the moment.

Found it on the "Beeb", only two shows left, nothing of Yorkshire to come - show 7 Cornwall, show 8 Scotland (West)

still worth a watch, very interesting.
