I would say that the building in the photo that's being 'refurbished' , if that's the right word. Was due to be the new premises for 'Bennetts' fishing tackle shop, just before the business made it's move from the shop on West Bar to Howard Street. I would also say that when 'Bennetts' moved into that building, the name was later changed to 'Bennetts of Sheffield' Sorry I can't help with what the premises was used for before that date. The building(s) are now part of the ever sprawling Hallam University something to do with accomodation.
