Guest Genie602
Hi, Do any of you experts in sheffield pubs have any info on the Queens Head in Attercliffe cum Darnall. According to the 1881 census my GG Grandmother Sarah Whittington (nee Lever, first married Outram) is living at the pub with her children. Her husband was Jesse Whittington, it is unclear from the census if he is still alive. Genie

I will digest all the census information that I did not already have. Thans for your interest in this topic and for all the work you have put in. It is much appreciated. neddy
Hi neddy, Thank you, was that the Queens Head or another pub? Genie602 It was listed as a beerhouse 1879 and then named the Cup Inn 1891,so don't think it would be Queens Head, there was a Queens Head at 7 Shirland Lane Attercliffe 1879 but the victualler was James Cocking, Directory can be found here, http://www.historicaldirectories.org/ bit awkward to search, -find by location-yorkshire-3rd page on-Whites 1879
