Guest Genie602
Hi, When I used to go and visit my Grandparents in Harveyclough Road, my Grandpa used to keep us entertained with some "Ditties", There are two that stick in my memory most - the Butterfly song and the Seaweed song. The butterfly has wings of gold, The firefly wings of flame, The little flea has none at all, But he gets there just the same. The Seaweed Song. I had a fright some time ago, right in the dead of night The missus said get up you fool the house is all alight So I quickly tumbled out of bed though I could hardly stand My seaweed hung upon the wall so I grabbed it in my hand My seaweed in my hand, I rushed upon the roof, forgot to take my clothes The fireman down below was squirting with his hose He hit me where I stood, upon the parapet And as soon as I touched my seaweed I knew it was going to be wet. Imagine both of these being sung with a yorkshire accent, fantastic. Genie 602 he he
