As with a lot of the area, The 'Yorkie' was demolished at the end of 2006 to make way for new developments. I'll always remember the Yorkie from when I worked in the City Centre - used to often pop in after work (or, occasionally, at lunch times). They did the biggest doorstop sandwiches you've ever seen! Other great features were the heated beer-garden, overlooking Arundal Gate - where you'd also get the jukebox piped out to you whilst you sat in the summer sun - and also one of the few Sheffield venues at the time where you could play on an 'L'-shaped pool table. Guest stumps Posted March 9, 2007 Share Posted March 9, 2007 Used to frequent there on an evening after work when I workes in Sheffield.
