Thanks MarionC Hi Marion, The best people to contact would be at the synagogue on Wilson road,there is a Jewish cemetery just below the old St Mary's Cemetery at Walkley, the Jews tend to keep all their records to themselves for safety but are always more than willing to help in matters like this. Is there a Jewish genealogy group in Sheffield? Thanks MarionC Just a couple of bits of background - The Wilson Road Synagogue opened in April 1930. The Jewish burial Hall and Cemetery at Blind Lane, Ecclesfield was consecrated on 4th September 1932. (When I was a school a father of one of the boys was the caretaker of the cemetery and this lad always had loads of pocket money because he used to dig graves for his dad! - beats a paper round!)
