Sam Xavier Posted July 8, 2022 Share Posted July 8, 2022 Speaking of short streets, as it were, there used to be a tiny little one near my old school, Burngreave Middle, called Sun Street, which was, guessing from the map above, about half the length of Short Street. Burngreave was originally a Secondary Modern, and during the change to Comprehensives, Burngreave became a Middle school, Ellesmere Junior became Ellesmere Primary, and the old Infant part of that became a pre-school. Since then, the vast majority of old properties around Burngreave school were demolished, so Sun Street, AFAIK, doesn't exist at all now. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
