Does anybody have any idea where this is, or fancy a guess?

Either a good or a terrible guess (I'd presume the former), though incorrect either way.

Reckon it’s the Wentworth with its prominent, unforgettable Wards sign. One of a few ex Wards pubs I never got to have a pint in.

#3 is the Wentworth at Carbrook. You'll not get Wards in there but you can still get a pint there and it's a lovely pub, well worth a visit. They've stocked Acorn when I've been in which shows impeccable taste in my opinion. Great for post match analysis from the Wincobank Steelers fans too. I think makapaka must have named it first but I missed that post initially - apologies makapaka.

I've been in there for lunch recently, It is now one of the chain pubs probably aimed at the Cineworld/Arena crowds.

It is overshadowed by the old ESC fume extraction plant built in the 60s when Sheffield went smokeless.  I'm amazed it is still standing, does anyone know when it was last used?

Maybe I got the name wrong - the one next to  the arena - opposite car park?

Last I saw that had been rebranded "The Eighteen Ten", but its a different flavour of foodbarn (W&D/Marstons) to the one pictured for day 2.

#2 is nowhere near the Sheffield Arena, you are around five miles out.

I'm not sure whether this is a widespread phenomenon, but I'm presently experiencing severe problems across all browsers with the site (it is displaying as an unformatted, html style, object list). This is making even basic posting a challenge as click points are not readily evident. Regretably the series will have to remain on hold until a time when former function might be restored. Apologies to those who were following and may still be able to.

If anyone is experiencing problems, the site appears to be functioning in dark mode. You may have to switch to dark mode again if you sign in (and have something ready to bite on if you're a Blades fan, especially if you use the default icon).

Probably kinder to take a shovel to this rather than draw its entrails out any further.

For anyone interested, these are the pubs that have been pictured.
