Can anyone supply information on the Kelvin. How it got it's name etc Is it from the Kelvin Grove Museum in Glasgow?

It got it's name from the Kelvin Grove Tea Gardens on Infirmary Road which were operating at least as far back as the 1840's....pre-dating the museum by at least 50yrs.

They were described as The Kelvin Grove Hotel and Gymnasium, they hosted fetes, firework displays, concerts etc...the proprietor was George Frederick Bywater b1807 . The census describes him as a fireworks artist & licensed victualler. I think Bywater dies in 1858.
