Just been reading an item in the BBC News pages 'magazine' on flooding. Mentioned by the writer, Prof. Frank Furedi is the bursting of the "Bradfield Dam near Doncaster"! Southerners ! !'ve emailed a little correction but I suppose it will be ignored. Mentioned SH as well....well you never know

Typical, and people get paid decent money for compiling articals like that.

I have an idea how the mistake was made .... Hatfield is near Doncaster !!!

I think it maybe the fact that part of Doncaster had some flooding as a consequence of the Dale Dyke collapse and is usually mentioned as "the effects were felt as far away as Doncaster."
