Andrea B Posted February 7, 2021 Share Posted February 7, 2021 Hello. there’s a photo my dad is desperate to see again but is very difficult to track down. Years ago there used to be poster size photos in glass cases on the bridge that crossed Pond Hill, Pond Street. It was my dad either heading a ball to score or clearing it. He can’t remember who he played for at the time but teams he played for in his teens were Mansel Youth Club, St Silas and Yew Lane School. It was late 60s maybe very early 70s when he saw the image in the case. I’ve contacted the Sheffield star, archives, and scouted picture Sheffield but have drawn a blank.
