I went there as a teenager, with friends - definitely before 1986 probably before 1984. in 1980 i was 11 or 12 - so theres no way I would have gone then. Contrary to the report, I’d say 1982-3. MartinR Posted February 4, 2021 Share Posted February 4, 2021 OK, it's a long time since I played in Millhouses Park as a youngster, but I can't recall the feature shown in the 1987 photo. sovrappeso Posted February 9, 2021 Share Posted February 9, 2021 The lido was built in the shallow end of the original pool & opened in about 1971. I cannot imagine that it closed after only 10 years or so. There were several lido pools: each one was either hexagonal or octagonal in shape with a fountain in the middle.
