I remember reading that  there was some disquiet that there were no "crack" units allocated to Sheffield's Victory Parade! I wonder if that's so?

This must be after the war, the film Two Men and a Girl in the last photo wasn't released until 1947.

The latter picture could be of a different parade.....Note the absence of the military and it seems to be a different man wearing the Mayoral Chain ....he has more hair, is taller and appears somewhat younger than the man in the  earlier picture.🧐

Edit: I thought. But the chain of office does not look right?

Yes, after I had posted it occured that the chain didn't seem the same as the one in the earlier picture and despite my saying an "absence of the military"....closer examination reveals a soldier in uniform to the rear of said man wearing the mysterious chain! Could the chain be that of the Master Cutler?
