Thanks for a great photo.

Great to see it whilst it still looked like the Sheffield I loved, nice and tidy with the markets and proper roads & open spaces & car parks.

I can't bear to see it with all the high rise buildings blocking out all the light and nothing but hotels and apartments.

Looks more and more like America and very little that's nice, ever came from that place.

This looks like the Sheffield I knew and loved. Not been in city centre for a few years now but seeing photos of how it looks know I dont think I want to. Too Americanised for me.

Very unfortunate to see what once was a grand city centre. Now full of dull architecture made of just glass and steel.

Ponds forge was built in '91 - but how long before was it started?

Hole in the road '67.

Is that the C&A logo on the building? That became Primark ~1999.

Supertram > Meadowhall 1994?

Guesswork only I would estimate photo from mid 80's
