Snig Hill Magistrates Court - Four Lions Filming Location

In the Four Lions movie we see a scene showing a conference held in a University theatre (see other threads for locations) and in the film we see people coming out of the theatre and coming out of what is Snig Hill magistrates court (movie location magic!)

As Hassan Malik comes out of the conference he's met by Barry who shouts him down for a chat in his car.

The location for these shots is Snig Hill magistrates court and the very bottom of Castle Green (down past the Hen and Chickens and turn left at the bottom!)

We can't get exact location shots on Google Maps but we can at least drop you in the right area!

Not sure if it’s been referred to elsewhere on a SH thread but the ‘not half bad’ British - made thriller” ‘71 “  ( released 2014) based around The Troubles in Northern Ireland  used scenes shot on recognisable parts of Park Hill Flats and in The Peak District. I think the taut and riveting film is worth a view in its own right but if you like to see Sheffield and it’s neighbours used on screen….there they are. (Not for the faint-hearted though…the story and scenes well bring out, the violence and horror of those awful times..)
