This was filmed on Burton Street in Hillsborough Sheffield 6 and features an old school (no longer a school) and in the background the hills of Sheffield including a small glimpse of Sheffield Ski Village! Sheffield History
This is Burton Street, Hillsborough Sheffield where the school scene in The Full Monty was filmed. This Full Monty filming location has seen a few changes. Up on the top of the hill in the distance the big white building has gone and the trees on the hill have grown over the work that was going on there when the Full Monty film crew were filming it. To the right hand side of the road the tall chimney is no longer there - if you know what that chimney was please let me know below
Sheffield History
A quick before and after shot of The Full Monty Burton Street Filming Location showing Gaz and Nath walking up towards Burton Street School The building to the left with the bars on the windows in the second picture is the one seen in the movie and used to be David Ford Heating and Bathrooms which sold bathrooms, boilers, radiators etc The new Euro Car Parts building is pictured behind it in the second photo but wasn't there when The Full Monty was using Burton Street as a filming location
Sheffield History
I have included this shot because it gives us a closer look at the chimney that I thought had been totally demolished but in fact looks to have been cut off and shortened! Have included a shot of the chimney and the Full Monty filming location on Burton Street so you can take a look at it from the opposite direction
Sheffield History
Gaz and Nath reach the school where Gaz talks about not being able to afford to take Nathan to the Manchester United match The entrance gates can be seen on the left between the first car and the red car
Sheffield History
For this shot of Gaz shouting down to Nath in the school yard I've included two photos from since The Full Monty was shot here. The first one is how the wall/gates were when the movie was filmed, and the second shot is how Burton Street looks today with a brand new entrance to the Burton Street Foundation buildings
Sheffield History
Because the fence has gone from the old school building since The Full Monty filmed here, it's impossible to recreate the shot but take out the fence and the actor and this is what you see in the background which also belongs to the Burton Street Foundation - it's the Bamforth Building

Sheffield History
Later on in The Full Monty there is another scene outside the school with Gaz and Gerald waiting for Nathan to come out after school. Here you can see Burton Street clearly in both directions
