Sheffield History
THE FULL MONTY FILMING LOCATIONS SHEFFIELD - BACON LANE AND SHEFFIELD CANAL SCENE Here are a few Full Monty Sheffield Film Locations, and in this one here are stills from The Full Monty opening scene down on the canal at Bacon Lane The lads get stuck on a car as they're trying to steal a steel girder to help pay the child maintenance fees Funny scene and sets the scene well for things to come later in the movie. The Full Monty filming locations have changed a lot since the movie was made but you can still visit them and get an idea of what it was like This film location has changed mostly due to the factories being flattened (kind of the theme of the film!) Anyone know what factories have gone and what they produced?

Sheffield History
Finding this Full Monty filming location is easy Simply arrive at Bacon Lane and go to the bridge over the canal Then find this access point and steps that take you down to the canalside and you're literally there at the filming location (just walk forward a hundred feet or so) If you go and visit this one either to check out this famous Full Monty movie filming lcoation or just for a wander along the canal please come back and let us know about it in this topic! rover1949
Loved the film and was impressed by Robert Carlyle's Sheffield accent. But in the canal scene he used an expression I have never heard here; - "he's got a benny on" Anyone else use this?

"alright alright.. don't get t'benny on" I've heard it a few times in my life but not often and don't hear it at all anymore Not a Sheffield phrase I've ever heard used as part of everyday life?
