Nick Robinson
I'm trying to find some information about "Sound Recording Studios", formerly at unit 19, Trades Hall, Charles Street. I've found an old tape recorded by a local musician there. Does anyone have any memories?

There used to be a Sheffield Trades & Labour Club, upstairs over the premises on the corner of Charles Street and Cambridge Street. Concert secretaries from working mens clubs etc used to gather and auditions would take place there. Anothe Club which worked on the same basis was Stanley Street Club, just off the Wicker. The recording studio probably took over the tenancy of this premises when the club closed down as it was already set up as a music venue.
Organgrinder
Just had a look on Google Maps and took a snapshot of it. The Club was above the green & red Chicken shop. Doorway was to the left of that on Charles Street (now boarded up)

Organgrinder
Ni idea who took it over. The last time I went in there, it was still the Trades & Labour Club.
