RLongden
It’s probably closer to 2 hours away, but if you’re planning on visiting North Yorkshire, it might be worth a look. Druid's Temple Knowle Ln, Ripon HG4 4JZ https://goo.gl/maps/wVZvwMfa1cc3hWni7 https://www.visitharrogate.co.uk/things-to-do/the-druids-temple-p1237221 Nothing to do with Druids and not a great deal of mystery about it either. Built in the 19th C as a folly by a wealthy landowner, he used the labour of the local unemployed to have it built, paying them just 1/- a day. Probably so he and his pals could run around in bedsheets playing druids, as they had nothing better to do? 😁 Nice walking around there though....
