deejayone 24
I've lots of news on this... The building on the left (Barkers Pool House) is definitely getting demolished (along with the bridge). Plans have just gone in for a new luxury Radisson Blu hotel on that site: https://www.sheffieldguide.blog/2020/08/26/plans-submitted-for-heart-of-the-city-pinstone-street-hotel/ John Lewis have committed to the Sheffield store until 2030, and the building/store will have a £3million refurbishment starting next year: https://www.sheffieldguide.blog/2020/08/28/john-lewis-commits-to-sheffield-city-centre-2040/ And yes, the William Mitchell concrete Frieze on Barkers Pool House has been saved: https://www.sheffieldguide.blog/2020/07/03/sheffield-artwork-saved-from-heart-of-the-city-destruction/ Meanwhile, The 'Gaumont' Building façade is to be rebuilt, 'inspired by' The Gaumont and Regent Theatres that used to be on the site: https://www.sheffieldguide.blog/2020/09/18/plans-reveal-bold-new-look-for-barkers-pool-gaumont-building/

deejayone 24
You might not like it — which is absolutely fine, art is subjective. But you can't say it isn't art just because you don't like it. It is abstract, it is non-traditional and unconventional, but it most certainly IS art.

tozzin 163
This is a portrait of Picasso’s mother by Picasso himself when he was around 25 years old, again I much prefer this kind of work to what he painted in his later years.

Wearisome, saccharine, conservative dross! However, its use as pollution is an interesting idea, certainly not without merit. Sharp thinking tozzin, or have I got the wrong end of the stick?
