tozzin
An old chap I know has been asking me for some information on an auction that was held by Mr Eadon (before Lockwood & Riddle joined him) on his St James Street auction rooms, the properties were houses and workshops on Kelvin Street , house numbers among others were Nos 26 / 28 / 30 / 32, the auction was held on the 19th of November 1878, I only have limited information but it doesn't include the details of this auction. If anyone can help me in this quest for this old chap, 87 years old, his interest is because he lived in number 30 Kelvin Street, and the cellar had a file smiths shop in it and when he found it, it was as though the file smith had gone home for tea and never come back as everything was left, tools, files and blanks, there were several other file-smiths shops in the yard and in surrounding yards other little workshops abounded.
