Prefabs above Midland Station 1950

Spotted these prefabs on grounds that had back to back housing before the war. Never knew they were there. Wonder how long they lasted?

Can be seen briefly in this film

"At ParkSchool the children can be seen in the school yard and also crossing the street outside.  Outside some of the prefabs, a class of children is setting out on a visit.  Some of the prefabs adjacent to the school are being demolished."

Temporary, emergency housing erected to increase the available housing stock following the Blitz. Originally intended as a short term measure...some lasted for almost 40/50 years.
