I hope you don't mind me being 14 plus years late to the party (only found this site due to 'Owlstalk' ) but is was King Edward VII School on Glossop Road that actually acquired it.

Here's a picture showing it outside the main entrance just after they acquired it,

As for Cravens, (my grandfather worked there), they produced various booklets, this is a sample of one, there's actually around 54 pages in this one showing various things they constructed, I can post the lot if anybody is interested.
