Sheffield History Posted April 2, 2020 Share Posted April 2, 2020 Ivy Clow (later Yates) outside Thornton's Chocolate Kabin on the corner of Howard Street and Union Street Date Period:1920-1939 Ivy Clow was 16 years old when this photograph was taken. She was most likely the first assistant in the shop, later becoming a supervisor at Thornton's confectioners. Ivy lived at 37 Catcliffe Road, Darnall and later moved to Tinsley.
