togger
Good afternoon everyone. I have an old original photograph (not a postcard) which i have attached and am hoping that someone could help with dating it please? I know that this is taken in Sheffield, but as to where i dont know. Any help would be much appreciated.
Edmund
My guess would be 1910 - based on the cost and availability of photographers to photograph outside scenes of working men. Is there any photographers stamp or other writing on the reverse?
togger
Hi Edmund No nothing just the photograph. I do know that the man right at the back was a bricklayers labourer and bottom right there is a pile of bricks. This must have been one of the building sites that he worked on perhaps? Added a cleaned up version of the image for clarity
