Sorry no pictures but lots of memories. I used to meet my boyfriend/now husband there when we were both students. Joe Scarborough used to exhibit his work in there but I could never afford to buy anything - £10+ for his now iconic originals!! Best coffee and sandwiches in Sheffield! Hopman
Was this on Aldine Court, off High Street heading Northwards?
Sheffield History
Apparently the Attic first opened possibly in 1970. It was owned by Dennis Morton who had a brother Barry who was an artist. Their parents were Stan and Muriel who later managed the Attic. Joe Scarborough had his paintings in there and also there were regular visits from good old Roger Moffat
Sheffield History
The Attic Sandwich shop was in High Court in Sheffield City Centre Very popular sandwich shop apparently!
Sheffield History
View of High Court from Hartshead Square Easy to see why The Attic sandwich shop would have been frequented by Radio Hallam DJ's as it was right next door!
