Does anyone have any memories, or photos, of this place please? Ta!

Sorry no pictures but lots of memories. I used to meet my boyfriend/now husband there when we were both students. Joe Scarborough used to exhibit his work in there but I could never afford to buy anything - £10+ for his now iconic originals!!

Best coffee and sandwiches in Sheffield!

Totally agree, a convenient little stop - off for your lunchtime sandwich or meet someone, instead  ( in the days when we had lunch breaks) ...Great quality and all that all important  feature cleeeeeeeeen!

Apparently the Attic first opened possibly in 1970. It was owned by Dennis Morton who had a brother Barry who was an artist.
Their parents were Stan and Muriel who later managed the Attic.
Joe Scarborough had his paintings in there and also there were regular visits from good old Roger Moffat

View of High Court from Hartshead Square
Easy to see why The Attic sandwich shop would have been frequented by Radio Hallam DJ's as it was right next door!
