Sheffield History
Sad times RIP Redgates Do you think in years to come there will be as many fond memories of ToysRus?
Down Under
Very sad to see iconic Redgates go, my Silver Cross high slung babies pram came from there in 1972 and from 1980 to 1985 I worked two days a week on the switchboard there, I remember Redgates when I was a child and it was at the bottom of the Moor always looking in the window on the way back from my grandmothers and having a lovely baby doll from that shop Everyone loved Redgates
tozzin
In the late 1800s Redgates we’re making prams in the Fitzalan Square / Bakers Hill area.
tozzin
There’s a Redgates making sewing machines in the 1879 directory, they were on High Street.
