Sheffield History
The City Centre end of London has obviously changed much over the years with the new buildings going up, and being cut off from The Moor by the new road and buildings layouts, but what about further up? Has London Road really changed that much?

It certainly has, at one time I would finish work at dinner time on a Saturday, and I would walk from Abbeydale road into town because there were many interesting shops on the way. It doesn't look like it would be worth it now unless you had an enormous appetite.
boginspro
Like many other places a lot of the buildings have gradually lost their character, often being defaced with awful shop fronts, out of character paint jobs, decorative features removed and roller shutters fitted. One building I noticed right at the end of the film is the one on the corner of Ward Place which I did some work on many years ago. Here is a then, (pre-war I think) another then, August 1973 and now.
