This impressive platter has a spout with hinged lid that allows filling with hot water to keep the meat warm. The scrolled feet and handles are beautifully formed leaves. The maker’s plate announces that it is made “By The Queens Royal Letters Paten(t) by Shaw & Fisher, Patentees, Sheffield.” Made in England between 1830 and 1894.
