Visited Black Swan Walk just off Fargate in Sheffield City Centre

Very curious little place

 

anyone else been down here?

You missed the circular iron track set in the floor at the bottom of the walk plus the gear work on the right hand wall, just what was it for?

I walked down there the other day, Those old buildings would look lovely if cleaned up. Whats their history?

I'm not 100% sure but the leaded lights that can be seen maybe part of the Howard Gallery as is the putruding buildings and as you probably know the entrance is on Chapel Walk and if you stand just below the back entrance of M & S and look up you can see the roof Windows that flooded the upper gallery with natural light to enable the artists working there and to show the pictures at their best.
