The mention of Charles White, could this be how White Lane that runs from Gleadless Townend gets its name?

Taking all the information into account, buildings, roads, schools, wells, etc, the area marked on the map is my best guess. It’s now the site of Leadbeater Drive, just off Gleadless Common.... but happy to hear other opinions....

Thanks folks

So looking at the family on 1861 census

This shows Sarah living with her son at Myrtle Spring and checking the map Myrtle Spring drive is shown now on the other side of the large grassed area.

There are 10 houses on the census and a school, If the two are one and the same place as in the sale would that mean that Sarah owned the majority of what was Myrtle Spring?

In her will it shows " effects of under £200" . The land was binging in an income of over £54 P/A. I know times have changed regarding land prices but surely it must have been worth more than stated in her will.
