Devonshire Green Sheffield.jpg

Zoom in and have a look at this one..

Goliath Crane used in the construction of Devonshire Green Flats in 1967.

What buildings can we see in this one that are no longer there?

It might be a shorter list to identify which ones are still standing?!

  • University Arts Tower, right background
  • A few of the terraces at the top of Devonshire Street, on the right
  • the spire of the Glossop Road Baptist Church, left background

... that’s about your small French? lol

The buildling on the very left with the pitched roof is Ernest Hill Ltd. My mum worked there until she retired. I don't think any of the structures are still standing until you reach the corner of West Street.

Devonshire Green Flats in 1967. What flats ?

I think they were called Broomhall Flats, long since demolished because they were shoddy. I will not call Devoshire Street, a green, that's just a name made up to give it a bit of spin.
