Retirement brings on many extramural activities and having nearly completed my bucket list before the next bucket I see is the one I kick,

I thought it prudent to see who's left out of my old class and where and WHO they are now ( many of the girls will obviously have a change of name ).. See link below

A few of our motley crew, I have sincerely missed since I left and I curiously would like to see how we all did after Smiley's J4 class and the ensuing 11+ dispersal.

If you haven't sussed yet which one I am in the group,,, go top row and remember the one that went off to Canada at an early age from Fairthorn road..

Came back a few times too but never really got to be in contact with the old class.. I know about Beryl thanks and was recently chatting to Chris ( who hasn't changed a bit and is still a grumpy old bugger ;-)   and I luv him to bits ) .. Particularly would like to hear from Gwenda who lived on the corner of Rolleston road and Sicey avenue. ( Last time our eyes met was when I came past the house, with my parents in tow, aged then? About 14 /15 )..  Look forward to your responses.

Hi Fairthornroader.

I left Hatfield House Lane School in 1963, I only recognize one person in that photo (Clifford Medley) but he also lived next door to me on Rolleston Road with his brother Paul and Sister Hazel. see attached photo of the Cross Country Team i am the third from the right centre row Mr Moss is the PE Teacher on the far left.

Hi Syrup. Thanks fo the contact. Correct, it's Cliff stood next me in the original photo. Sadly, the picture you posted up is too small for me to identify anybody from it and I have to assume that this was a team from the Seniors ( one of Whitfield's entourage ) ,, not the juniors. ;-) Only twice was I ever invited over the fence to the seniors during my time at HHL infants/juniors. 1st to see dentist ( never again! ) and for an annual sports day event, throwing discus.

Yes, I did notice that one during my search. Look much more professional than the one's we performed for parents each Xmas in the Infants /Juniors of my time. My acting career was thwarted after the first production. ;-) Sorry, didn't catch your first name.. I take it that you stayed in Sheffield all of your life ?

Perhaps you don't recognise the class of J3 1962 but you might recognise the names of teachers from 1956-1964.
