I usually start with NLS because you can use the slider to bring up a modern overlay. ----------- http://maps.nls.uk/geo/explore/#zoom=17&lat=53.4422&lon=-1.5033&layers=6&b=
Lyn 1
The history group has maps, publications and census's that may have some details of interest to you . https://www.grenosidelocalhistory.co.uk/ https://www.grenosidelocalhistory.co.uk/publications/ They usually meet on a Tuesday morning and workshop mornings would be best for you to go and see them. It was in part of the large house between Grenoside farm and the Norfolk Arms. W/E.
Lyn 1
I believe one older member actually recalls working there. Nether House was it? The group do put on fantastic bi-annual exhibitions. They also put on history displays here http://www.grenosidereadingroom.co.uk/ and sometimes give talks. The reading rooms are worth a visit.
