Cabbage Alley

I've just been looking through Slater's 1847 directory of important towns, and a couple of items made me think where is this, this is the entry;

LANCET & FLEAM MAKERS.
Burwick Samuel, 86 Spring st
Dungworth .John. Cabbage alley
Ellis Joseph, 41 Spring st
Gregory George, Bailey lane
Griffiths Robert, Monmouth st
Hemsoll Joseph, Pond st
Howard .John, 5 Love st
Hutchinson Wm. & Henry, 76 Norfolk st
Johnson George & Co. 13 Porter st
Kitchen Richard, Earl st
Rodgers Joseph & Sons, 6 Norfolk st
Saynor Samuel N. Sons, 13 Edward st
Unwin & Rodger's, 23 Burgess st

Now where was Cabbage Alley? I also noticed that the St, Rd, Lane or Alley always starts in a lower case.

Second query:

FEMALE PENlTENTIARY, Victoria st, now I never knew of this place, I've also come across under Screw Manufacturers, Sarah Gibson Watering Lane, now is this just mis-spelt instead of Water Lane or was there an actual Watering Lane

There  used to be a WATERY Lane in Portmaon.

You've come up trumps again,  Cabbage Alley found, now it's just the women's Penitentiary!
