TimmyO
Filmed partly at Park Hill, The film is set around the time of the Troubles in Northern Ireland, they used Park Hill to film The scenes at the Divis estate in Belfast. It's well worth a watch there are other recognisable scenes throughout the film. IMDB Link
Thorntons girl
Hi TimmyO I have just watched this film and like you say it is extremely powerful, moving at a fast pace and suspenseful throughout. I noticed Park hill flats and was fascinated, wonder why they needed Park hill to represent Ireland. Good film though, thought provoking and shocking. Everyone should watch it. ManoutotCity
I suspect film makers activities actually ‘on the spot’ in connection with replicating those fearful times and so vividly, ( even now) risks unwelcome attention from those who still find it too raw. Nonetheless, I thought it a very good film….though in all honesty, had to have the use of PHFs pointed out to me …although the rural locations at the beginning and end of the film struck me as ‘very Peak District’ from the very first time I saw it. I’m not certain that’s actually where those scenes were filmed, however.
