Schumac Posted January 31, 2018 Share Posted January 31, 2018 Lots of names you will know in Ecclesall cemetery, have a wander round the general cemetery if your from Sheffield you'll know lots of them and Attercliffe hill top where you'll find Benjamin Huntsman and just up the road when it's open is Zion lane cemetery which should interest you. Sharon vale cemetery has firth family in (sheffield steel , carries street buildings still stand today with firth & vickers Also the cemetery behind the owlerton dog track called Wallsend holds the crimean war, access is through a snap yard most of these men died in the hillsborough barracks and the royal infirmary, it is reported that Paul Eagle Star was buried in the cemetery but thats un true, i once came across the internet the inquest of him his indians transported eagle star to a london cemetery it was a 100 years later his remains were exhumed and he now laid to rest on his reservation in the usa.the cemetery needs looking after its part of sheffield history vandals are burning the graves is also the only one that had a railway line run through the cemetery to the Royal Victoria Hotel..
